About Me

Sarahfleming1 Hello! My name is Sarah Fleming, and I'm a paper addict living in central Texas. I'm an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and love to teach others how to make lovely paper projects. I always have ink-stained fingers (I'm okay with that). I also knit. If you're in the USA, I'd love to be your demonstrator!

Scrap Page: Cutest Pilgrim Ever!

Hey! It’s been ages since I’ve posted anything. I’ve created a few things but have just been crazy busy, so I haven’t posted any of it. So here I am to show you what I’ve been doing lately.

The first project is a digital scrapbook page. I made the page entirely in MDS (My Digital Studio, which is Stampin’ Up!’s scrapbooking software). I am loving MDS more and more every time I use it. I kept the page simple, and it only took me about an hour. I know, I’m slow! But as I use MDS more, I’ll get faster. This would have taken me so much longer to do with traditional paper, plus I can do things here that I can’t do with paper — like resize stamps. I’m still all about the paper, but I’m starting to see why people scrap digitally. I’ll have this page printed through MDS’s print service; I intend to put it straight into the Cup’s baby book, but who knows what I’ll do when the page actually arrives? I have a hard time with flat pages — I couldn’t live without Dimensionals! So it will be hard for me to not add some buttons or ribbon… We’ll see, I guess.

Anyway, this picture is from Buttercup’s first Thanksgiving, and it’s one of my all-time favorite pictures of her — it’s even on the wall in my hallway. We were on a two-week road trip from Idaho to Texas; she was only 6 weeks old when we left, and that trip is why we will NEVER EVER EVER make that drive in fall/winter again. We drove through 6 snowstorms with a six-week-old baby, and during one of them, we didn’t even know we were in a snowstorm because we were also in the densest fog I’ve ever seen. The fog lifted, and hey, look! Snowstorm!

As you can see, we are not a very serious family.

Here’s the list of MDS supplies I used to create the page. You can buy My Digital Studio (or get a free 30-day trial!) and most of these digital downloads in my Stampin’ Up! store 24/7. The only ones you can’t buy are the Petals-A-Plenty stamp brush set — that was a Sale-A-Bration freebie this year. The font I used is a free font called Amatic. In MDS, you can use any font you have installed on your computer.
