About Me

Sarahfleming1 Hello! My name is Sarah Fleming, and I'm a paper addict living in central Texas. I'm an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and love to teach others how to make lovely paper projects. I always have ink-stained fingers (I'm okay with that). I also knit. If you're in the USA, I'd love to be your demonstrator!

It’s New Catalog Week! Holiday Home and Halloween Street stamps!

The new holiday catalog goes live on Thursday, and one of my dear friends and customers texted me that she wants everything in the catalog, because it’s that good.

This week I’m going to show you a bunch of new products from the new catalog. First up: Holiday Home. This is a wonderful little photopolymer stamp set (for which you can also buy matching framelits!) that’s great for Halloween, fall, Christmas… I love it. I made this simple, fast Halloween card using the Holiday Home, Halloween Street, and Project Life by Stampin’ Up! (PLxSU) Holiday Cheer sets.

Simple handmade Halloween card - Stampin' Up! Holiday Home, Halloween Street, PLxSU Holiday Cheer - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to DyeThe card base is Hello Honey, one of the new In Colors. The pumpkin and “BOO!” are done in Pumpkin Pie, and I used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink (which we carry now!) for all the black. The house, bats, pumpkin, jack-o-lantern face, tree, and ghost are all from Holiday Home. Adorable, right? The big sentiment is the single stamp Halloween Street, one of my favorite things from the holiday catalog. “BOO!” is from PLxSU Holiday Cheer.

So I was staring at my card and noticed the houses on the Happy Halloween stamp. Funny, a little askew. Lightbulb! Holiday Home is a photopolymer set, so you can curve the stamps when you put them on the clear blocks. So I had to try it. LOVED the outcome:

Stampin' Up! Holiday Home and Halloween Street - spooky curved house - handmade Halloween cards - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to DyeFor this card, my card base is Blackberry Bliss, my absolute FAVORITE new In Color. I don’t even like making cards with purple, but I love this one. I added a mat of Basic Black cardstock. I embossed the house (same stamp as the first card, just curved), tree, and ghost on the card using Versamark ink, white embossing powder, and the Heat Tool. Then I sponged on Whisper White craft ink to make it look like a foggy, spooky night. Fun! I stamped Halloween Street again on Whisper White cardstock, added the bats from the Holiday Home set, then added ink spots using a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and Pear Pizzazz and Pumpkin Pie ink. I distressed the sentiment panel using the Stampin’ Distress tool. I added banners punched out with the Banner punch in Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizzazz. I also added the Burlap Ribbon banner and the button, and right next to the button is a small scrap of Blackberry Bliss Stitched Satin Ribbon, which is absolutely delicious.

Tomorrow I’ll show you something else new from the holiday catalog, so stay tuned! And starting on Thursday, you can order from the new catty. Woo!
