Hey! Okay, so I was a display stamper for OnStage in Shreveport, as you know. It was really scary! But also fun and also gave me lots of samples to blog.
This was one of my favorite samples. Confession: I don’t even own this stamp set; I know everyone loves it, but I’m just not into it. But my MIL bought it, and then I had this idea for her dress, so I borrowed it to make this card.
The designer series paper you see is new paper coming in the new Annual Catalog called Bundle of Love. [Customers will be able to purchase from this catalog on June 1, and demonstrators will get to pre-order select items on May 2.] This paper is GORGEOUS. It’s gold embossed on Very Vanilla on one side, and the other side of each sheet is either Blushing Bride or Soft Sky, so it’s perfect for baby boys and girls. And, as you can see, you can use it for other things than baby projects!
My card base is a new In Color, Berry Burst, an instant favorite color! I stamped the fancy lady on Very Vanilla cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then stamped her again on the designer paper. I cut the Vanilla cardstock with one of the oval Stitched Shapes framelits. I fussy-cut the gold-embossed dress with my Snips, then sponged the Tuxedo Black ink all over the dress, several times, until it was dark enough. I glued the dress onto the Vanilla fancy lady, then colored her hat with a Pear Pizzazz marker.
I tied on that beautiful Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon (also coming June 1), then popped the fancy lady up on Dimensionals.
The sentiment and the Pear Pizzazz scribble behind it are also from Beautiful You. I flagged the end of the banner with the Triple Banner Punch.
Thanks for stopping by today!
