About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Fleming, and I'm a paper addict living in central Texas. I'm an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and love to teach others how to make lovely paper projects. I always have ink-stained fingers (I'm okay with that). I also knit. If you're in the USA, I'd love to be your demonstrator!

Hooray for Lemon-Lime Twist!

Okay, in case y’all haven’t noticed, I’m bonkers over Lemon-Lime Twist. It’s so fresh and BRIGHT. Y’all know how I feel about my bright colors.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous with new In Colors Lemon-Lime Twist and Fresh Fig - OnStage Display Stamper project - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

This is another one of my Display Stamper projects from OnStage in Shreveport, and it’s one of my favorites. I showcased several new (coming June 1) products in this card. The Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock and ink are new, of course, and the Fresh Fig (the darkest balloon) ink is also new. The stamp set is a new set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous, and I absolutely LOVE it. The Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon is also new — my favorite thing about this ribbon is that it is grosgrain, yet it’s so soft, so it ties really nicely. I often have a problem with grosgrain — it usually doesn’t tie that well for me. So that’s a big plus.

My background for the balloons is a piece of Shimmery White cardstock. To get the two separate colors to pool without running together, I first wet the paper with my Aqua Painter, just the part of the paper where I wanted the LL Twist watercolor wash. Then I picked up LL Twist ink from the lid of the ink pad with the Aqua Painter and painted it onto the wet area. I waited for that area to dry, then did the same with the Sweet Sugarplum ink. After that was dry, I stamped the dotty balloon twice in LL Twist, without re-inking the stamp between impressions. Then I stamped it twice in Sweet Sugarplum, again without re-inking, so I would get two different shades of Sweet Sugarplum. I stamped the Hooray balloon in Fresh Fig and the string in LL Twist. After I layered the Shimmery White onto the LL Twist cardstock, I tied the ribbon around those layers, then added them to the card base (Sweet Sugarplum). Then sentiment is also from Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I topped it off with some rhinestones.

You can get some of these products now in my store, and you can get everything but the ribbon if you join my team — the stamps, LL Twist and Fresh Fig ink, and the cardstock are all included in the preorder for demonstrators! The only thing you can’t get is the ribbon (until June 1). If you’d like to get in on the demonstrator preorder, you can sign up here for $99 and add preorder items to your starter kit!
