Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! We are a small group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world who love to share our creativity with others. You’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA.
This month our theme for the hop is Fun/Fancy Folds. These are not my strong suit, so I searched through some YouTube videos and found this one by Patsy Waggoner for a “Snip & Tuck” (haha) card. I changed up the size for my card to make it mailable. My card base measures 4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5.5″. I’m not sure why I chose 4″ instead of 4.25″. (Yes I am — I was tired.)
I cut the lines to make the fun fold the same as in the tutorial (2″ in from the right side is the starting point).
Here you can see the cuts. After I made the cuts on the cardfront and the inside of the card, I stamped the dotted heart on the inside of the Melon Mambo card base in Melon Mambo ink, then the little accent hearts. The dotted heart shows on the front of the card when the two sides overlap.
This is the cardfront without the overlap.
And here it is all closed up and decorated. I used the Painted Love paper (coming next week!) and the Heart Happiness stamp set (same). The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage. See the full supply list at the end of the post.
I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!
Some of the things I used in my card can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store now, and the Occasions catalog items will be available January 3. If you can’t wait until then, click the blue button below to join my team, and you can get the new products in your Starter Kit! If you order from my store, make sure to use the December Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!
There are only two days left to reserve your Stamparatus! Reserve yours now through December 30! First come, first shipped! If you don’t reserve yours by December 30th, you won’t be able to get it until the new annual catalog in June. There won’t be another reservation window.
