About Me

Sarahfleming1 Hello! My name is Sarah Fleming, and I'm a paper addict living in central Texas. I'm an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and love to teach others how to make lovely paper projects. I always have ink-stained fingers (I'm okay with that). I also knit. If you're in the USA, I'd love to be your demonstrator!

Go For Greece Blog Hop: Graceful Rose

Hello! Welcome to the Go For Greece Blog Hop! Go For Greece is a training group put on by the lovely Kylie Bertucci, and we are all building our Stampin’ Up! businesses. Thank you for your support as I build mine!

For my card, did a little watercolor emboss resist with Brusho again. I love the colors I get from just sprinkling on the color and also love the colors I can make by combining different Brusho colors. I demonstrated this technique in this video if you’d like to see how I did it. This time I heat embossed the huge rose from Graceful Garden on Watercolor Paper with Versamark and White embossing powder. I embossed the sentiment (from Flirty Flowers) at the same time, and I used my Stamparatus (available in early June!) to position the sentiment and make sure I had good ink coverage on my rose.

Stampin' Up! handmade well wishes card - Graceful Garden watercolor emboss resist card with Flirty Flowers sentiment and Brusho watercolor - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

The colors on the rose are Gamboge and Yellow, which I sprinkled on before spritzing, and on the stem and leaves I used Moss Green. After spritzing, I created the green background color in a paint tray with two shakes of Yellow and one tiny shake of Prussian Blue. A little goes a long way with that color. After I watercolored the whole background, I added water to a few spots of the rose, then added some Brilliant Red in those spots.

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you go through the entire blog hop. There are so many fabulous designers in this hop, and you’ll get a ton of inspiration!

Everything I used on my card can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the March Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!

But really, if your wishlist is over $99, please consider becoming a demonstrator! The Starter Kit is $99, and you get $125 in products in your Starter Kit (you choose the products) plus TWO EXTRA STAMP SETS during Sale-A-Bration. Not to mention free shipping on your Starter Kit, a 20% discount through at least the end of July, and other great demonstrator perks. And you are never required to sell anything or even spend any more money. If that amazing deal interests you, go here to join my team. I’m happy to discuss it with you if you have questions or concerns.
