Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! We are a small group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world who love to share our creativity with others. You’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA. This month our theme is Halloween/Fall Occasions.
As you can see, I went with Halloween. I’ve made a lot of projects with the Toil & Trouble Suite but haven’t posted that many of them. This is one of my favorites that I’ve made. Because look at that adorable witch. Just look! She’s so cute.
My card base is Lemon-Lime Twist, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. The Basic Black piece is 5-1/4″ x 4″. I cut the stars using a die from the Cauldron framelits. I mounted that on a piece of Mango Melody cardstock of the same size using Dimensionals, then glued that down to the card. I added the little strip of Toil & Trouble designer series paper. It’s 2-1/2″ x 1″.
I stamped the witch, broom, and cat in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with the Stampin’ Blends. For the witch, I used Granny Apple Green (light/dark), Blackberry Bliss (light/dark), Highland Heather (light/dark), Mango Melody (light/dark), and Light Basic Black. For her face and hands, I used Petal Pink (light/dark). For the broom, I colored the stick in Dark Soft Suede and the straw in Dark Daffodil Delight. I colored the cat with Smoky Slate (light/dark).
I glued the witch to the card and added the broom and cat using Mini Dimensionals. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape and cut it out with a die from the Merry Christmas thinlits. I finished off the card with basic Rhinestones, which I colored with the Dark Mango Melody Blends marker.
I hope you enjoyed my project today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!
