Hey everyone! I have a second card for you today. I am too excited about this one to save it for another day! I am excited because I found a new use for the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. I was thinking of using Tear & Tape to add glitter to a project (that’s a thing people do), and I realized I could probably use the adhesive sheets to add glitter to a bigger area. And it worked!
My card base is Blueberry Bushel, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″. I added a Coastal Cabana mat, 5-1/4″ x 4″. Then I created my background on a 5″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. I first masked off the moon using a 2-1/4″ circle punched out of a sticky note. I started sponging about an inch from the bottom of the cardstock and sponged on (in order) Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, and Blueberry Bushel ink. I removed the mask, then stamped on the trees in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using a stamp from the Timeless Tidings stamp set.
For the glitter snow, I first stuck the adhesive sheet to the part where I wanted snow (first picture), then removed the backing and covered the adhesive sheet with glitter (second photo). Next, I decided I wanted the snow to have banks/hills, so I cut more adhesive sheets in the shape I wanted them and stuck them to the card (third picture). I removed the backing and covered that in glitter to get my snow banks (picture 4). Then I finished off the card (last photo).
To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Christmas Pines stamp set, then added the snow flurry, which is cut from White Velvet paper using one of the Snowfall thinlits dies (available November 1st!). I added snow to the trees using the Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter, then added the bow. The bow is made from the Blueberry Bushel 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and one of the ribbons from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack.
Inside I stamped the sentiment, from the Dashing Deer stamp set, in Blueberry Bushel.
Everything I used on my card can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store (the Snowfall Thinlits and White Velvet paper will be available on November 1st). Make sure to use the October Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, don’t use the Host Code — make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!
