Good morning! Just a quick post for you today to show you this card using the Needlepoint Nook Suite from the Occasions catalog. If you’re just here for a baby update, no news on that front yet.

My card base is Poppy Parade, 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″. I added a piece of Needlepoint Nook paper, 4″ x 5-1/4″, but first I cut out a rectangle from it using the Rectangle Stitched framelits. Isn’t this paper beautiful? I glued down the paper, minus the rectangle, then popped the rectangle up on Dimensionals, just for some extra fun. Do you see the double stitching? The rectangles are stitched inside and outside the cut, which is a feature I LOVE. I stamped the sentiment, which is all on one line in the stamp. To do this, I covered the words I didn’t want on each line with washi tape, inked up the word I did want in Poppy Parade ink, removed the washi, and stamped. I cut out the sentiment with the square-ish rectangle and glued it down.

I stamped the big flower in Poppy Parade, the little flower in Balmy Blue, and the leaves in Old Olive. I cut them out with the coordinating dies and popped them up on Dimensionals. I finished the card off with Whisper White Baker’s Twine and some Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Inside I added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped another sentiment from the Needle & Thread stamp set in Poppy Parade and the little cross-stitches in Old Olive.
