3rd Thursdays – Painted Seasons

Good afternoon! Welcome to the 3rd Thursdays Blog Hop! This is a pretty new blog hop, so for now, it’s a short hop! I’m excited to be on this team with several very talented people! Our theme this month is Sale-A-Bration, as the 2nd release of freebies came out this week.

Stampin' Up! handmade birthday or celebration card using Fairy Celebration and FREE Sale-A-Bration Painted Seasons designer series paper - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

For my card, I’m using the Fairy Celebration stamp set, which has been around forever. I just had to use it, though, because this GORGEOUS paper just makes me think fairies. I mean… the whimsical mushrooms? Fairy shelters, right?

The paper is FREE paper that Stampin’ Up! released this week. You can earn the Painted Seasons bundle, which includes the Painted Seasons paper and the matching Painted Seasons stamp set, with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration. This is one of my favorite SAB freebies EVER.

My card base is Mango Melody, 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″. The piece of designer series paper I used is 4-1/8″ x 3-1/2″. I glued that to the card base, then added a piece of Poppy Parade ribbon (about 7″) with Tear & Tape. I cut out a stitched circle from Whisper White cardstock with the Stitched Shapes framelits, then stamped the fairy on that in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored her with Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, and Petal Pink Blends and added her to the card with Mini Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment (all one line) in Poppy Parade on Whisper White cardstock, then snipped it into three lines and put those on the card using Mini Dimensionals. To finish off the card, I added seven Iridescent Sequins. This was a super easy and quick card to make, but I love how it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way through! You’re currently at Sarah Fleming’s blog (in the USA), and next is my friend Kimberley Morris.
