Hello, stamping friends! Happy Saturday! We’re having a pretty low-key day, just hanging around the house and cleaning. My husband is working on the Little Passports boxes with the kids (they got subscriptions for Christmas), and I’ve finished deep-cleaning one room. Just 10 or so to go!
I made today’s card using the sketch from this week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge. Great sketch!
I’ve just recently gotten this stamp set, and I see so many possibilities with it. I can’t wait to color it with my Blends. But this time, I used Brusho for the background. Totally gaga over this look! This was my first time to play with Brusho on Glossy White Cardstock. You get a much different look here from using Brusho on Watercolor Paper! I’m getting so many different looks from this one product and just having so much fun. Obsessed. I used the Prussian Blue and Brilliant Red and spritzed liberally with water. I love how the outside areas look more spritzy (totally a word), and the middle looks more solid. But look at the color variation, even in the middle!
I embossed the diamonds all over the background with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I also die cut one diamond out of Silver Foil Sheets using the Eclectic Layers thinlits (which are actually available in a bundle with the Oh So Eclectic stamps, or separately if you prefer). The Night of Navy circle is punched with the 2″ circle punch. I embossed the sentiment and flagged it with the Banner Triple Punch.
I had fun with the ribbons. I pulled apart the Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Striped Grosgrain ribbon and tied the threads in a knot. Then I took the Basic Gray ribbon that comes in the free Sale-A-Bration ribbon pack and pulled on a few threads to get it to cinch up like this. I threaded that ribbon through the loophole in the other one and glue dotted them to the card. Fun!
Inside, I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock and embossed one more diamond on it.

Good morning, and Happy New Year! Today I’m showing you another preview of lots of goodies that will be available Wednesday. The beautiful sentiment comes from the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set. It’s a lovely, delicate stamp set that I know I’ll be using a lot. The designer series paper in the background is the gorgeous Petal Passion paper. This paper is all black and white and beautiful.
The card with the colored flowers is one of the cards from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack. This is a black and white card, and I colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. I used Light and Dark blends in Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive. I used only the Light Cherry Cobbler Blends marker (but I’ve linked the Combo pack below if you want to go ahead and get the pair, which I recommend). The ribbon is from the Shimmer Ribbon Combo Pack in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. You’ll be able to get this for FREE with a $50 (pre-tax and -shipping) order during Sale-A-Bration! Sale-A-Bration starts Wednesday and runs through March 31.
Inside the card, I added a strip of the DSP to a Whisper White background.

Hey! In my Facebook Live video this morning, I made this and several other cards, featuring the designer series paper that is on sale for the month of October. I’ll be posting the others throughout the week, but you can see them all in the video below. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re watching and like my Facebook page (and turn on notifications) if you’d like to see me live on Tuesdays.
You can find all the supplies I used to make the cards in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the host code (see below) when you shop so you get extra freebies from me. I’ll be posting the supply lists for the other cards throughout the week, so make sure to come back for those.
My favorite Halloween bundle from the new Holiday Catalog is easily Spooky Cat. First of all, I love a good punch bundle, and Spooky Cat has a cat punch! I seriously squealed when I saw that. And the stamp set has so many adorable images and sentiments. It’s fun. Very Harry Potter-y.
I made this card for the Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge, because when I saw the sketch, I immediately thought Spooky Cat. I pretty much followed the sketch exactly.
For my kitty and the repeated “Happy Halloween” stamping, I used the Baby Wipe technique with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Peekaboo Peach reinkers. I love these colors together for fall.
For the inside of the card, I just punched a cat and glued it on.
