Good evening! I hope you’re doing well. I had a weird weekend. I somehow injured my foot in my sleep, as you do. I was seriously hobbled all weekend (it’s better but not completely). Plus I had two sick kids and t-ball practice, and my dog killed a baby bunny in the back yard, so… meh. Weird weekend. I guess you can say I was glad to see Monday. At co-op today I got two new students in my knitting class — an extra kid, plus a mom who wants to learn to knit. We had a lot of fun in class and were shocked when the bell rang to end class. Time flies.
For today’s post, I made a trio of cards using the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set, some ribbon, and some washi tape. Heartfelt Blooms is one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. You can only get these stamps for FREE with a $50 purchase — you can’t buy them. This flower stamp is the first of a new type of stamp patented by Stampin’ Up! The details are amazing.
The main colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green (gasp!), and Rich Razzleberry. I used the same layout and design for each card and simply changed up the ribbon and the washi tape.
For the Flirty Flamingo card, I used the Lemon-Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon and Basics Pack 1 washi tape.
For the Garden Green card, I used Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon. This ribbon is so lovely and feels so nice.
The Rich Razzleberry card is my favorite. I think I have exactly the right amount of ink on my Rich Razzleberry ink pad to make the flowers burst off the card. I used Basics Pack 1 washi tape on this one, plus the FREE Sale-A-Bration Shimmer Ribbon pack (free with $50 purchase). The ribbon comes in three different widths and three different colors – Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, and Bermuda Bay. It’s delicious.
Everything I used on my cards can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the February Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!
But really, if your wishlist is over $99, please consider signing up! The Starter Kit is $99, and you get $125 in products in your Starter Kit (you choose the products) plus TWO EXTRA STAMP SETS during Sale-A-Bration. Not to mention free shipping on your Starter Kit, a 20% discount through at least the end of July, and other great demonstrator perks. And you are never required to sell anything or even spend any more money. If that amazing deal interests you, go here to join my team. I’m happy to discuss it with you if you have questions or concerns.
I just realized that I never posted my Step-It-Up Challenge for the Splitcoaststampers Creative Crew this month! The card above is the clean-and-simple version of my card. It’s much easier than it looks! The house is stamped with three different stamps that fit together perfectly.
After stamping the house, I simply tied a ribbon around the card front with the Lemon-Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon and added some Iridescent Sequins and Metallics Sequins. Boom, done.
For the stepped-up version of the card, I included washi tape from Basics Pack 2 and a heart from the Hearts & Stars Elements. I also stamped the Real Red stamp on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating die (there is a die that cuts out all these flowers in one shot!). I popped those flowers up on Dimensionals.
Instead of tying the ribbon around the cardfront, I added a little bow to the heart.
I wanted to stamp “No place like it” on the inside of the card. We had just gotten back from two weekends away in three weeks when I made this card, so it seemed appropriate for our Vacation/Staycation theme. All I had in my head right then was staying home for a bit. But I didn’t think the Labeler Alphabet stamps worked with the front of the card, so I used my Real Red marker to write the inside sentiment. Then I added two flowers (leftover from the die cut for the popped-up flowers on the card front). The sentiment is written on a label punched with the Pretty Label punch (because I had a big smudge to cover).

If you earned Bonus Days coupons in July, NOW is the time to redeem them! They expire after August 31st, so make sure to spend them by tomorrow!
Buy the Carols of Christmas bundle from my online store in August, and receive a free online card class that uses the bundle! The cards are easy to duplicate, so they’re perfect for beginners, but they’re also fun for seasoned stampers. [NOTE: The cards shown are not the cards included in the tutorial.]

Hey there! I have a bunch of projects for you today. Today is the 1st of the month, which means the Creative Crew projects are live at Splitcoaststampers. My first project is a card that I made for our sketch challenge. Here is the sketch:
I have a really hard time with sketch challenges, but I knew right away which papers I wanted to use for this sketch.
The Whole Lot of Lovely designer series paper has so many beautiful patterns in some of my favorite colors, including Tangerine Tango, my favorite orange. I used three of the patterns for my card front, layered on top of Basic Black cardstock and on a Tangerine Tango card base. Next I tied the Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon around the card — yes, I voluntarily used Pear Pizzazz on a card! I know, I was surprised, too.
I fussy-cut the flowers from another pattern in the paper pack. These flowers are one of the main reasons I ordered this paper. They are so pretty! The sentiment and flower are stamped from the Lots of Love stamp set. I think this sentiment is perfect for so many occasions! Thinking of you, sympathy, birthday, thank you, or a simple Random Act of Kindness card.
Inside the card, I stamped the flower again (twice full-strength and twice stamped off once), then added a strip of Tranquil Tide washi tape from the Basics 2 Pack.
Stampin’ Up! is running an AMAZING deal in July! If you sign up as a demonstrator in July, your Starter Kit still costs $99, but you get $197 in product! You choose $125 of your Starter Kit, and you also get the Essentials Gift Pack, which includes:
