Here are the projects we made in my Stampin’ Blends Marker Club in December. The stamp set for the club last month was Birthday Delivery, and the Blends included were the Night of Navy (Light and Dark), Pumpkin Pie (Light and Dark), and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. December also included a package of White Perfect Accents. The club also includes all the supplies for the three projects.
I am not including instructions or a tutorial for these projects, as the tutorials are exclusive to my Blends Club, but the supply list is below, with links to my online store.
Thanks for stopping by! Everything I used on my cards can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the January Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!
I am so excited to announce that my Birthday Memories Online Mega-Class is finally ready! I’ve worked on this class for two full months and have come up with 15 projects for you! The goal I had in mind for this class was to get you to use this bundle to its full potential. Which means that I want you to use your paper! (Buy a second pack of paper if you cringe at the thought of cutting into it, but do allow yourself to cut up this brilliant pack of paper.)
This class includes 2 bags, a box, a belly band, a scrapbook or shadow box page, a banner, pinwheels, and EIGHT cards! I’ve made a full-color tutorial with detailed instructions, and there are SEVEN videos.
Here’s the video where I show the projects:
I do have a kit option, but the kit only includes 6 projects. Included in the kit are 1 bag, the belly band, the scrapbook/shadow box page, the banner, and two of the cards. Note that the kit will not include your adhesive (Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals are included) or the 12×12 paper for the scrapbook page and will not include the Birthday Memories paper, as that comes in the Birthday Delivery bundle.
I’m offering three options for the class:
1) Buy the Birthday Delivery bundle from my online store (click here) before August 20th, and I will send you the tutorial for FREE. Make sure you enter a good email address when you order the bundle so I can email you the link to the tutorial. (US residents only.) If you don’t receive the tutorial link within 24 hours of purchasing the bundle, first check your spam folder, and then email me.
2) I am only offering the class kit option as an add-on if you buy either the Birthday Delivery bundle OR the PDF tutorial. The kit is $15 plus $7 priority shipping. The kit includes the materials (except the Birthday Memories paper) to make all 6 of the kit projects, plus a full box of Mini Gift Bows (a $6 value). You will need your own ink pads (I’ve used Pacific Point, Archival Basic Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon-Lime Twist, Sweet Sugarplum, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, and Smoky Slate). Adhesive is not included (Dimensionals are included). I recommend Tear & Tape and Multipurpose Liquid Glue for this class, and I do give you an option to add on the Tear & Tape to your kit. Fill out the registration form to request the class kit, and I will send you a Paypal invoice. Remember you can only buy the kit if you also buy the bundle or the PDF. The cutoff to register for the class kits is August 20th. Kits will ship August 27th at the latest (some will ship earlier). (US residents only.)
3) You may buy the PDF by itself for $20. Click this button to buy it, and you will be able to download the tutorial immediately.
I hope you love the class as much as I loved making it!
Whew! What a crazy couple of days it has been. I went to bed Wednesday night without finishing my blog posts for my Creative Crew projects, thinking I’d do them first thing in the morning. Well. I woke up sick as a dog, as we like to say around here. So I spent yesterday either sleeping or throwing up and then ended up at the ER since we have no good urgent care around here and I can’t get into my gastroenterologist for 3 weeks. They were nice and gave me morphine.
Anyway, I have two more cards to show you. These are for the Step-It-Up challenge, and they will be included in the Birthday Memories Class-By-Mail that I’ll be offering later this month. So keep a look out for that.
Isn’t this little sweetie adorable? She is from the Birthday Memories designer series paper. I just adore her and pretty much every sheet of paper in that entire pack. It’s my favorite suite in the new catalog. I went with a Very Vanilla card base, because I wanted to use the Bundle of Love paper for my background. Plus, I think having the vanilla in the background makes the white in front pop a little more. I cut the girl and her surrounding cupcakes out of the designer series paper using one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes framelits.
The girl is wearing a Whisper White and Pacific Point dress, but I decided it was close enough that I could use Dapper Denim for my sentiment frame and my Glitter Enamel Dot. I used the Layering Squares framelits for my sentiment, Very Vanilla for the straight square, and Dapper Denim for the scalloped square. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red from the Tabs for Everything stamp set — this stamp set is going to be perfect with the new Planner Kit (mine has shipped!) and the Circle Tab Punch.
I decided that my sweet girl holding her cupcake needed another little cupcake at her feet. I stamped the cupcake wrapper from the Lift Me Up stamp set in Crumb Cake on VV, then the frosting (also Lift Me Up) in Blushing Bride. Then I sponged Blushing Bride over the frosting to give it a little extra something. I added that Glitter Enamel Dot, and I was done.
For the inside of this card, I added a strip of the Bundle of Love paper, 4″x1/2″.
To step up my card, I first added a frame behind my girl, made with the Lots of Labels framelits and Red Glimmer Paper. Next, I cut Cupcake Girl directly out of the DSP using one of the coordinating dies — YES! The dies cut images directly from the paper! This is my favorite feature of the Birthday Memories Suite. After I cut her out, I popped her up on Dimensionals. The oval around her is also on Dimensionals, so I double-stacked the Dimensionals for the girl. Tip: When using Dimensionals on the glitter side of Glimmer Paper, I take the backing off the Dimensional, then add some liquid glue to the Dimensional so it will stay put. Otherwise, it falls off pretty easily. If you’re ever sticking anything to the top of Glimmer Paper, use either the Multipurpose Liquid Glue or the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
I did everything the same for my sentiment, but for the tiny cupcake, this time I embossed both the wrapper and the frosting in gold, then sponged the frosting on with Blushing Bride ink. My final step-up is using more Glitter Enamel Dots.
This time for the inside of the card, I used the same paper, but I cut it 4-1/4″x3/4″.
I’d love to hear which card you like better! I love them both and really can’t decide which one is my favorite.

These are my final two cards for the May Creative Crew challenges at Splitcoast. For the Step-It-Up challenge this month, I am featuring the Birthday Memories suite, which should be available to customers June 1. The theme is “sweet surprises”. The SWEET part of these projects is the cake all over the DSP, and the SURPRISE is that there is beautiful DSP that features Real Red that isn’t Christmas or Valentine’s Day paper! So I chose to really feature Real Red on these cards, because it’s one of my favorite colors, and I’m so happy to have FUN Real Red paper.
My stepped-up card has lots of additions and a subtraction. First, I stamped the right side of the cardfront using the Birthday Delivery stamps that directly coordinate with the paper on the left, to make my own contrasting DSP-type background. I didn’t stamp the cakes, because the cake stamp in this set is huge and would have overpowered all the other fun details. I just adore the tiny party hat and gift and balloon. I love how the stamped background turned out!
Actually, back up. Before I stamped the right side of the cardfront, I… took off the left side!
So the gorgeous Real Red paper is actually on the inside of the card, because there’s no cardfront on the left side. After I cut the card base, I cut off the left 2″ of the cardfront. It’s important to do this before scoring the cardstock so you don’t have issues with cutting on the score line. After cutting then scoring the card, I glued the strip of striped paper on top of the right side (the front), then opened the card and glued an identical strip to the inside.
This is the card standing up.
I again stamped the sentiment in Real Red on Whisper White and cut it out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. This time, I also cut a stitched square out, then stitched around the stitches with a small needle and three strands of Real Red Solid Baker’s Twine (from the retired Candy Cane Lane Baker’s Twine set). I glued the right side of the stitched square to the cardfront, then popped the oval up on Dimensionals on top of the square.
I stamped and cut the balloons, hat, and gift using the stamps and dies from the bundle. The balloons & gift are on Dimensionals, but the hat is flat. I hand-cut “friend” with my Snips.
I hope you like both of these cards and that you like the additions (and subtraction) I made for my stepped up card. Thanks for visiting!
