Berry Sweet

Hi, and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop! This is a monthly hop with Stampin’ Up! friends around the world; you’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA. This month’s theme is Something Different. A fun or fancy fold, or something besides a card. I went waaaaay out of my comfort zone and finally tackled an idea that’s been floating around in my head for months.

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe bundle with Cool Treats, Cupcake Cutout thinlits, Coffee Cups framelits - treat packaging - teachers gifts - Ice Cubes gum packaging - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

I bought this container of Ice Cubes in May. May! I’d seen the ice cubes in the Coffee Cafe stamp set, so when I saw Ice Cubes at the grocery store, I grabbed them, planning to do some kind of fancy packaging for them. It’s been sitting in a basket on my desk for months. Long enough that the container is now empty. I have no idea how that happened. >.>

So here’s what I came up with. I cut a strip of 2″ x 12″ (actually, just a hair under 2″ wide) Whisper White cardstock and punched both ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I stamped the long wrapper with a stamp from Touches of Texture, in both Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight. I scored the middle two inches of the strip (I’m sorry, I didn’t get a measurement) to have a defined bottom for the treat wrapper. I attached the Ice Cubes container to the wrapper with Glue Dots, but if you’re going to actually give this to someone, you’d be better off using hot glue, or maybe lots of Tear & Tape. Super helpful, I know. Then I tied the ends together with the Berry Burst 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon. I added a strip of Silver Mini Sequin Trim to the bow before tightening the loops.

The cups on the front use the Coffee Cafe stamps and dies. The frozen lemonade on the left is made with Daffodil Delight cardstock (behind) and Vellum Cardstock on top. The “you’re” comes from a stamp in the Cool Treats stamp set (“you’re the cherry to my sundae” — I stamped it, then cut out the word I wanted), and the “sweet” is die cut using the Cupcake Cutouts framelits. I finished off the front with some Metallic Sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today! You are currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all of our projects. You don’t want to miss any!

Fall Teacher Gifts – Kylie’s International Blog Highlight

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci, and you can VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop in September, so please do go vote for me.

Stampin' Up! coffee-themed fall teachers gifts with Painted Autumn paper, Coffee Cups framelits, Merry Cafe stamps, Seasonal Layers thinlits - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

This month’s theme for the Blog Highlight is Teacher’s Gifts. I really struggle with 3D projects, so I was really happy when this one came together. We’re coming up on fall/autumn next month, so I went with a fall theme for my teacher’s gift. Most of the products I’m using today are from the Holiday Catalog, available September 1 to customers (now to demonstrators). I’m featuring the Painted Autumn designer series paper (both the background and the coffee cup are from this paper), Merry Café stamp set, Coffee Cups framelits and Copper Sequin Trim (both available now), and the new Jute Twine. I love how these things all work together to make a beautiful gift box!

Here’s a better angle to show you the box. I decorated one of the new Acetate Card Boxes that are coming in the new Holiday Catalog. I’m really excited about these boxes — you can put in five standard cards & envelopes, or you can do like I did and include a single card with a gift card. I don’t have my hands on the pumpkin-flavored M&Ms yet, but you might be able to fit a bag in the box along with your card.

I love that Stampin’ Up! is coming out with a coffee set that coordinates with the existing dies but has fall and winter holidays included. That’s how I made the coffee cup. Then the leaves are cut using the Seasonal Layers thinlits and both Copper Foil Sheets and the Painted Autumn paper. The pumpkin is fussy-cut out of the paper. This paper is SO beautiful.

Inside the box is a thank you card to match, only this time I have used the stamps from Coffee Café along with Merry Café.

Inside the card is a Starbuck’s gift card.

Thanks for visiting my blog today; I hope you like my project. Make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog to vote for my card and check out the other amazing projects in the gallery. I would love to be chosen to do the next international blog hop!

Oh Hello Friend

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe bundle with Coffee Cups framelits and Oh So Eclectic - watercolor wash - ice cream handmade card - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

This is my card for the Creative Crew’s color challenge this month at Splitcoaststampers. Our theme this month is vacation/staycation, and that means… summer, which I only tolerate for the peaches. So I am saying, “Oh Hello Friend” to this tasty ice cream.

This is my last month on the Creative Crew. I am honored to have been asked, and it has challenged me creatively for sure.

The colors are greens and brown and a light pink. I decided to simplify the color palette and chose Chocolate Chip, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Powder Pink.

Stampin' Up! Coffee Cafe bundle with Coffee Cups framelits and Oh So Eclectic - watercolor wash - ice cream handmade card - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

I started with a Lemon-Lime Twist watercolor wash on Shimmery White cardstock. When the Lemon-Lime Twist was mostly dry, I filled in a little around the edges of the wash with Powder Pink. The ice cream and cup are from the Coffee Cafe bundle. I stamped the cup with the floral bouquet from Wood Words.

I finished the card off with Iridescent Sequins and Silver Mini Sequin Trim.

You can buy all of the products I used in my card in my online Stampin’ Up! store.
