Stampin' Up! Heart Happiness and Ribbon of Courage stamps with Painted Love designer series paper - New Occasions 2018 catalog items - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts - #IIBH

This month our theme for the hop is Fun/Fancy Folds. These are not my strong suit, so I searched through some YouTube videos and found this one by Patsy Waggoner for a “Snip & Tuck” (haha) card. I changed up the size for my card to make it mailable. My card base measures 4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5.5″. I’m not sure why I chose 4″ instead of 4.25″. (Yes I am — I was tired.)

I cut the lines to make the fun fold the same as in the tutorial (2″ in from the right side is the starting point).

Here you can see the cuts. After I made the cuts on the cardfront and the inside of the card, I stamped the dotted heart on the inside of the Melon Mambo card base in Melon Mambo ink, then the little accent hearts. The dotted heart shows on the front of the card when the two sides overlap.

This is the cardfront without the overlap.

And here it is all closed up and decorated. I used the Painted Love paper (coming next week!) and the Heart Happiness stamp set (same). The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage. See the full supply list at the end of the post.

Sympathy Blooms

Stampin' Up! handmade sympathy card with Birthday Blooms, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stampin' Blends, and Merry Little Christmas designer series paper - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts #IIBH

This month our theme for the hop is Sorry/Sympathy/Get Well. I have a hard time making sympathy cards when I need them, so it’s good to keep them on hand. I prefer to make sympathy cards that have at least some bright colors in them, because I want a sympathy card to lift the person’s spirits.

My card base is Old Olive, and on top of that is a Whisper White mat embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder. I added some splatters from Swirly Bird on the mat in Versamark ink, then heat embossed the splatters in gold.

I added the strip of Merry Little Christmas designer series paper — I love how you can use this paper for things other than Christmas projects. Then I added a half inch strip of a Champagne Foil Sheet.

For my focal point, I started by stamping the large flower from Birthday Blooms in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then coloring it in with the Stampin’ Blends. For the flower petals, I used Dark and Light Calypso Coral. For the leaves, I used Dark and Light Old Olive, then added Dark Daffodil Delight to the tips of the leaves. The bits at the center of the flower are colored in with Dark Daffodil Delight. I fussy-cut the flower out. Before I added it to the card, I made some loops with the Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon (delicious) and stuck it to the card with Tear & Tape. Then I added the flower on top of the ribbon with Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched out with the Classic Label punch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!

Stampin' Up! handmade wedding or anniversary card with Year of Cheer specialty paper, Graceful Garden and Beautiful Bouquet stamps - #IIBH - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

This month our theme for the hop is Wedding/Anniversary. I would call this card clean and simple, except there is a lot of fussy cutting involved, so I can’t call it simple.

Stampin' Up! handmade wedding or anniversary card with Year of Cheer specialty paper, Graceful Garden and Beautiful Bouquet stamps - #IIBH - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

The lattice is from the Graceful Garden stamp set, and I heat embossed that in Copper. I fussy cut the branches from the Year of Cheer specialty paper. This paper is stunning! It was a little time consuming, but totally worth it! I popped up several of the little leaves on baby Dimensionals. The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I finished off the card with Whisper White Baker’s Twine and Copper Metallic Thread.

Fall Teacher Gifts – Kylie’s International Blog Highlight

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci, and you can VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop in September, so please do go vote for me.

Stampin' Up! coffee-themed fall teachers gifts with Painted Autumn paper, Coffee Cups framelits, Merry Cafe stamps, Seasonal Layers thinlits - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

This month’s theme for the Blog Highlight is Teacher’s Gifts. I really struggle with 3D projects, so I was really happy when this one came together. We’re coming up on fall/autumn next month, so I went with a fall theme for my teacher’s gift. Most of the products I’m using today are from the Holiday Catalog, available September 1 to customers (now to demonstrators). I’m featuring the Painted Autumn designer series paper (both the background and the coffee cup are from this paper), Merry Café stamp set, Coffee Cups framelits and Copper Sequin Trim (both available now), and the new Jute Twine. I love how these things all work together to make a beautiful gift box!

Here’s a better angle to show you the box. I decorated one of the new Acetate Card Boxes that are coming in the new Holiday Catalog. I’m really excited about these boxes — you can put in five standard cards & envelopes, or you can do like I did and include a single card with a gift card. I don’t have my hands on the pumpkin-flavored M&Ms yet, but you might be able to fit a bag in the box along with your card.

I love that Stampin’ Up! is coming out with a coffee set that coordinates with the existing dies but has fall and winter holidays included. That’s how I made the coffee cup. Then the leaves are cut using the Seasonal Layers thinlits and both Copper Foil Sheets and the Painted Autumn paper. The pumpkin is fussy-cut out of the paper. This paper is SO beautiful.

Inside the box is a thank you card to match, only this time I have used the stamps from Coffee Café along with Merry Café.

Inside the card is a Starbuck’s gift card.

Thanks for visiting my blog today; I hope you like my project. Make sure you head over to Kylie’s blog to vote for my card and check out the other amazing projects in the gallery. I would love to be chosen to do the next international blog hop!
