Facebook Live 12/4/17: Watercolor Christmas
For yesterday’s Facebook Live video, I made a Mini Treat Bag and matching card using the Watercolor Christmas stamp set. I colored the Silver 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon with the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends marker. Love!

Merry Little Berries
Good morning! Look at that gorgeous paper. Just look at it! Sometimes you make a card that you can’t stop looking at. For you, this might not be that card, but for me it is. Bold, bright, and blingy! That’s my jam.
I’m playing along with the Christmas Joy theme challenge at Global Design Project this week.
This piece of paper is probably my favorite piece in the Merry Little Christmas paper pack, because of all the coloring possibilities. I started with coloring the berries/leaves/olives/whatever those things are, and I was thinking of coloring the branches but thought they looked so striking left in white. I colored the berries (for lack of knowing what they are) with Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. I started with Light, then colored the tips with Dark, then went back over the whole thing with Light again. I went over the dark areas of each berry with my Wink of Stella pen so they shimmer.
My card base is not Cherry Cobbler, but Real Red. I’ve found that the Dark Cherry Cobbler marker is more Cherry Cobbler, but the Light one is a perfect match for Real Red. On top of the card base is a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. The piece of Merry Little Christmas DSP was originally 4″ x 5-1/4″, and I cut off the edge with the decorative edge die from the Swirly Snowflakes thinlits. I just love that little extra detail! The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments, and I wanted it without the “from our family to yours”, so I stamped the whole thing in Real Red, cut it out with the Stitched Shapes circle, and then covered the “from our family to yours” part with some Year of Cheer washi tape. The white branches are cut with the Pretty Pines thinlits. Before adding the sentiment to the card, I popped in some Silver Mini Sequin Trim (tacked down with a Glue Dot), then put the sentiment on Dimensionals. The pines are glued to the center of the sentiment, and then I added some Rhinestones, which I colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends marker.
Everything I used on my card can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the November Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out.

Gingerbread Houses scrapbook page
Good morning! Today’s project is a 2-page scrapbook layout (click picture to embiggen). I was looking through my Christmas Around the World paper over the weekend, and when I saw this sheet with all the Christmas goodies, I was inspired to finally scrapbook some photos from last year when we made gingerbread houses.
The gingerbread house and gum drops are from the Sweet Home stamp set and the Home Sweet Home thinlits. The heart and star are from the Trim Your Stocking thinlits. The font that I used for the title is, sadly, retired. I stamped it on Whisper White, then punched out each letter with the Pretty Label punch, then snipped off the decorative sides. Under the bottom edge of the title, you can see a strip of Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape. It is sooooo pretty in person.
The gingerbread cookies are from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set, punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, and the journaling card is from the Color Theory Card Pack. The ribbon on both pages is Real Red 1/8″ Solid Ribbon.
Everything I used on my layout can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store. Make sure to use the November Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out.
