Your New Home

Good morning! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. We’re watching a lot of curling, playing a lot of Pandemic (Valentine’s Day present from my sweetie), and practicing a lot of baseball/softball.

This afternoon, I finally got into my craft room for the first time since Monday, and I needed to make something but just wasn’t feeling it. So I went to Global Design Project and was inspired by their colors to make a cheery card.

Stampin' Up! Home Life bundle with Welcome Home framelits & Glitter Enamel Dots - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

I went to the Annual Catalog for this card. I’ve hardly used this Home Life bundle, but I think it’s way underrated. The house is a triple-stamped image that starts with the Daffodil Delight stamp, then the Dapper Denim leaves, then fills in the teeny spaces with the Melon Mambo flowers. A die cuts out the house outline, and I cut out the stamped one and also a Dapper Denim one to give a little extra dimension to the house. Before I glued down the house, I also added a strip of paper from the Tutti Frutti DSP from the Occasions Catalog.

I had forgotten about the other cute dies that come with this bundle. After I stamped the sentiment and banner and popped it up on Dimensionals, I die cut the little tulips and leaves for little accents behind the banner. Finally I finished off the card with some Glitter Enamel Dots.

Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop: Heart Happiness Box

Hi! Welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop! This is a monthly hop with Stampin’ Up! friends around the world; you’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA. This month’s theme is Love, and I’m sure you’ll find tons of love-themed projects to inspire you in your crafting.

Stampin' Up! Heart Happiness & Teeny Tiny Wishes handmade treat box for York peppermint patties - Valentine's Day - Love - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts #SDBH

I bled to bring you this darling little treat box. That’s how much I love y’all.

Other than my thumb, which sustained a stupidity-related injury and which for the moment has limited mobility, I had fun making this little box. It fits one little Valentine-themed York peppermint patty. Here are the dimensions:

On the right you can see how I cut and scored the cardstock to make the box.

Here’s the box after cutting and scoring. The notch for opening the box isn’t on here but it would be punched with the 1/2″ circle punch on the edge that’s at the bottom of the picture (opposite the edge with rounded corners).

Here’s what the box looks like after you assemble it (I used Tear & Tape) and before you close it.

I used the Heart Happiness stamp set to decorate the box. Make sure to do the stamping on the box before you assemble it. For the solid heart with the imprint of the flower, I used two stamps from the set. There is a solid heart stamp and a little flower stamp. I mounted both stamps, then inked the solid heart up with Flirty Flamingo ink, then kissed the flower stamp to the heart to take the ink off of the heart and leave the imprint, then stamped.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you like my little treat box and that you’ve been inspired to go make something today. You are currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA. One of a Kind

Stampin' Up! Magical Day scrapbook page, Magical Mates framelits, Sunshine & Rainbows, Rainbow Builder framelits, one of a kind layout, Myths & Magic paper - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

Good morning! Hopefully I’m still sleeping when this post goes live. If not, hopefully I’m on my way back to bed. Today I get to show you a darling scrapbook layout I made with the Myths & Magic suite of products along with the Sunshine & Rainbows bundle. Myths & Magic is my favorite, and Sunshine & Rainbows is definitely in my top 5. Especially now that I’ve used it.

*The 12″x12″ cardstock is from the Painted With Love cardstock assortment. I was so happy to be able to get Melon Mambo 12″x12″ cardstock again. The cloud paper is from the Myths & Magic paper, and the starry paper is from the Sale-A-Bration paper, Bubbles & Fizz (FREE with a $50 purchase).

*For the clouds along the bottom, I used the Rainbow Builder framelits — there are some big cloud edgelits that come in the set. I used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and Whisper White 12″x12″ paper for the clouds. To get the white cloud layer to stick to the bottom glimmer paper layer, I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen. You have to hold it on there and wait a while for it to dry, but it will stay stuck.

*The name/date tabs on the photos are punched with the Circle Tab Punch.

*I’m totally gaga over this fat unicorn! She’s from Magical Day. I stamped her in Rich Razzleberry, then colored her in with Rich Razzleberry (Light and Dark) and Pink Pirouette (Light and Dark) Stampin’ Blends. Plus Bermuda Bay (Light/Dark) Stampin’ Blends on the horn.

*The Rainbow Builder framelits make the rainbow SO easy! There are 7 sizes, and they nest perfectly for a ROYGBIV rainbow. I did my rainbow in Melon Mambo, Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Lemon-Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rich Razzleberry. I cut all of the pieces, then glued them down to the largest circle from the Layering Circles framelits. I chopped off the excess circle, then cut the half-circle off in the center of the rainbow. When you do it this way, you can move the rainbow around to your heart’s content until you decide exactly where you want it. That’s Wink of Stella all over the rainbow and the unicorn’s hair.

*The title is from Magical Day, and after I cut it out with the die from the framelits, I stamped “you are” again, then snipped it out and popped it up on Mini Dimensionals. I cut a second banner out of Lemon-Lime Twist, snipped it apart in the middle, and glued it to the top and bottom of the back of the title.

*You could easily convert this title section to a card. In fact, I’m sure I will!

The tiny sun is from Sunshine & Rainbows, and the sunburst behind it, stamped in Melon Mambo, is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Amazing You (FREE with $50 purchase!). It adds a little texture and a little fun.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop: Heart Happiness

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! We are a small group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world who love to share our creativity with others. You’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA.

Stampin' Up! Heart Happiness and Ribbon of Courage stamps with Painted Love designer series paper - New Occasions 2018 catalog items - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts - #IIBH

This month our theme for the hop is Fun/Fancy Folds. These are not my strong suit, so I searched through some YouTube videos and found this one by Patsy Waggoner for a “Snip & Tuck” (haha) card. I changed up the size for my card to make it mailable. My card base measures 4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5.5″. I’m not sure why I chose 4″ instead of 4.25″. (Yes I am — I was tired.)

I cut the lines to make the fun fold the same as in the tutorial (2″ in from the right side is the starting point).

Here you can see the cuts. After I made the cuts on the cardfront and the inside of the card, I stamped the dotted heart on the inside of the Melon Mambo card base in Melon Mambo ink, then the little accent hearts. The dotted heart shows on the front of the card when the two sides overlap.

This is the cardfront without the overlap.

And here it is all closed up and decorated. I used the Painted Love paper (coming next week!) and the Heart Happiness stamp set (same). The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage. See the full supply list at the end of the post.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!
