Oh, What Fun!

Stampin' Up! handmade Christmas card with Merry Music paper, Winter Wonder embossing folder, Trim Your Stocking thinlits, Oh What Fun stamp set - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

Hello! I hope all is well with y’all today.

I decided to join in with Freshly Made Sketches today — I haven’t played along with them recently and just loved this week’s sketch, so this was a great time to jump back in.

My card base is Garden Green (gasp! I know!). I cut a Real Red panel, then embossed the gorgeous Winter Wonder snowflake on the bottom two-thirds. I sponged Real Red ink over the snowflake, just for a little extra depth. Then I sponged all the way around the edge of the Real Red cardstock. The paper (which actually has the words “Oh! what fun” on it) is from the Merry Music Specialty designer series paper. I cannot get enough of this paper!

I thought the “oh, what fun” sentiment from the Oh, What Fun stamp set was pretty perfect for this card. I heat embossed it in silver, then added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper behind it. The snowflake is from the Trim Your Stocking thinlits, and I finished off the card with a Clear Faceted Gem. I love these things!

I stamped the inside with a stamp from Hang Your Stocking and also added a strip of the Merry Music paper.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, with special guest… ME?! Are you kidding me??! I seriously almost peed my pants when Kylie Bertucci asked me to be the special guest on this week’s blog hop. The Crazy Crafters are Kylie’s Stampin’ Up! team. What an honor to hop with this amazingly talented team! For the blog hop, everyone is CASEing one of my cards (Copy and Selectively Edit / Copy and Share Everything). I can’t wait to see which cards the Crazy Crafters chose to CASE and what they do with them!

For my card, I chose one from over three years ago. I made this card in August 2014, and it’s been one of my top pinned cards ever. So I wanted to see what I could do to update it.

Stampin' Up! Musical Season and Christmas Pines stamps with Musical Instruments framelits, Quilt Top embossing folder, Quilted Christmas and Merry Music paper - Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

As you can see, I kept the layout, the color scheme, the gold embossing, and the kind of Nordic feel of the card. Everything I used on the previous card is retired except for the colors, so I kept Real Red, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, and Gold for my new card and updated everything else with current products. I absolutely love the Musical Season bundle this year! It is gorgeous. My sentiment and the snowflakes are from the Christmas Pines stamp set. This time for the designer paper, I used the Quilted Christmas paper and embossed the paper with the Quilt Top embossing folder.

Stampin' Up! Merry Music specialty paper with Envelope Punch Board & Musical Season stamps, sponge brayer, Year of Cheer specialty washi tape - Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

The card is square (5″x5″), so I needed to make an envelope to go with it. I kept with the music theme and used the Merry Music Paper. It’s lightweight, so it is perfect for making envelopes with the Envelope Punch Board. After I punched and scored the envelope, I sponged it with a Sponge Brayer and Calypso Coral ink. I added the Whisper White piece for writing the address and stamped it and added washi tape to match the card.

Fa la la la la

Stampin' Up! handmade Christmas card - Carols of Christmas with Quilt Top Embossing Folder, Merry Music paper, Christmas Around the World paper, Stitched Shapes framelits - Deck the Halls - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

Can you tell I just can’t stop with the Christmas making this week? Christmas is my favorite for papercrafting, both cards and scrapbooks. And now there’s a Holiday Catalog to play with so… #sorrynotsorry.

I am once again using the Christmas Around the World paper on this card. The Real Red and Whisper White striped paper is one of the sheets in that pack. The fa la la la la paper is from the Merry Music Specialty paper. This paper is AWESOME. It’s thinner, so perfect for cards, scrapbooks, and even making your own envelopes with the Envelope Punch Board.

The black piece is embossed with the new Quilt Top embossing folder, and the sentiment is from the Carols of Christmas stamp set. I love this stamp so much.

I hope you like today’s card! You can find all the products I used to make the card in my online Stampin’ Up! store.
