Hello, and welcome to the International Blog Highlights featuring only current Stampin’ Up! products! We are being highlighted by the lovely Kylie Bertucci, and you can VOTE for my project! The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop, so please do vote for my card.
Our theme for this highlight is Weddings. This is perfect timing, since June starts the big wedding season here in America. I decided to make a white-on-white clean-and-simple card. The little designs all over the card are cut using the Flourish Thinlits. I just got this set in this week and couldn’t wait to use it! I love how when you add die cuts that are the same color as the card base, it looks like you embossed one section of your card.
I had planned to heat emboss the sentiment in silver, but when it came time to stamp it, I suddenly wanted Night of Navy instead. The sentiment is from the Falling For You stamp set, which is sadly retiring. It’s only guaranteed until May 22, and after that it will be *while supplies last*, so if you want this beautiful set, make sure to order it soon! And then, of course, I needed a spray of rhinestones. Everything is better with a spray of rhinestones.
Thanks for stopping by today. Please head over to Kylie’s blog to VOTE for my card and see the other cards in the blog highlights. I’d love to take part in the next International Blog Hop!
Good afternoon from America!
I’m taking part in a very special blog hop today with the Aim for Alaska training group. This is a training put on by Kylie Bertucci to help us grow our businesses (Aim for Alaska means that we are trying to earn the fabulous Stampin’ Up! incentive trip for this year, which is an Alaskan cruise). I’ve learned so much about how to grow and run a successful business from top demonstrators all over the world, and I’m so grateful for this wonderful group!
The theme for our blog hop is Inspired by Alaska. When I think of Alaska, I think glaciers, mountains, reindeer, trees, and plaid, LOL.
Thank you, Jensen.
Tips for CASEing my card:
*My card base is Night of Navy, 4.25″ x 11″, scored at 5.5″.
*I cut a 4″-wide strip of the Carried Away designer series paper that is a Sale-A-Bration freebie. This paper coordinates perfectly with the Lift Me Up bundle and is only available free with a $50 purchase until the end of March. After I cut this strip of paper, I used my Paper Snips to cut off everything above the mountains. I did cut around one tiny hot air balloon and cloud but cut off everything else above the mountains. I just love how this paper gives a full scene of nature and wildlife in such a small space.
*After I glued down the paper to the card base, I cut the piece of Whisper White paper. I wanted the paper 3/4″ wide on the right side and 1/2″ tall on top. I probably did it the hard way, so the easy way would be to cut a piece that is 4.25″ x 5.5″, then use the ruler on your Trimmer to cut across the top (leaving 1/2″ above the cut) 3.75″ (leave 3/4″ on the right edge), then turn your paper and cut all the way to the bottom edge. I am making it sound more difficult than it is. Pop the piece of white up on Dimensionals.
*I stamped the tree from the Peaceful Pines stamp set in Emerald Envy ink on Emerald Envy cardstock, then cut it out with the Perfect Pines framelits. That is on Dimensionals.
*The banner is from the Banners for You bundle. I stamped in Emerald Envy and Night of Navy, then cut the banner out with the matching framelit. Since I was adding this right on top of the tree and the white border, I used my glue for most of the banner but did put a Dimensional under the left banner flap so everything is even.
*The bow is Emerald Envy Solid Baker’s Twine.
*The extra clouds are stamped/die cut using the Lift Me Up bundle.
*To finish off the card, I added Wink of Stella (clear) to all of the mountain peaks and the clouds. I love the frost you can get from this glitter pen!
*Inside. This sentiment is also from the Banners for You bundle, but it is a curved stamp, meant to fit on one of the curvy banners. So I just straightened it out when I put it on the clear block. That’s one of my favorite things about photopolymer stamps!
I hope you like my card. Make sure to continue hopping around the world on this fabulous Aim for Alaska blog hop. Right now you’re at Sarah Fleming’s blog, so just keep clicking down the list until you hop all the way back to me.

I sat down this morning to design a thank you card to send my customers in November; I wanted to use Vintage Leaves and send an autumn-themed card, and I fell back on my favorite fall color combo: Tangerine Tango, Soft Sky, and Crushed Curry.
I’m entering this card in the “Count Your Blessings” challenge at the Paper Players. The question is what are you thankful for, and I’m thankful for my customers!
I started with a Tangerine Tango card base (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″), then added the Whisper White panel (5-1/4″ x 4″).
I punched the Soft Sky circle using the 2″ Circle Punch. The intricate stamped image on top of that is a stamp from the Merriest Wishes stamp set. This set is so versatile — you can do much more than make Christmas cards and tags with it. I used my Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango markers to color the stamp. I first colored big areas with Tangerine Tango, then filled in the rest with Crushed Curry. I wiped off the ink in spots with my finger (because lazy) and filled in those spots with Soft Sky. Then I huffed on the stamp to reactivate the ink and stamped on Whisper White. I punched that out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.
I did the leaf the same way, except no Soft Sky. Just kind of randomly put in the Tangerine and the Curry.
I put the ornamental circle up on Dimensionals, added Gold Metallic Thread and Gold Sequin Trim behind the leaf, and put the leaf on Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the One Big Meaning stamp set. I love this set, it has so many great thank-yous. This particular stamp says “Thank You for everything and more”, but my customers might find that a little creepy, so I covered the “for everything and more” with washi before inking the stamp in Tangerine Tango. After inking the stamp, I removed the washi, then stamped. That part is very important, because if you don’t remove the washi, you stamp giant ink blobs on your card.
My card front was done until I noticed I had a smudge in the top right corner… and that’s why there is a second leaf! It’s just to cover a smudge, but I love, love, love what it added to the card.
I stamped the ornamental circle from Merriest Wishes again on a panel of Whisper White and added that to the inside of the card.
The supply list for this card is below (links go directly to my store).
When you spend $50 (pre-tax and -shipping) in my store in November, I will send you the following:
