Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! We are a small group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world who love to share our creativity with others. You’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA.
This month our theme for the hop is Fun/Fancy Folds. These are not my strong suit, so I searched through some YouTube videos and found this one by Patsy Waggoner for a “Snip & Tuck” (haha) card. I changed up the size for my card to make it mailable. My card base measures 4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5.5″. I’m not sure why I chose 4″ instead of 4.25″. (Yes I am — I was tired.)
I cut the lines to make the fun fold the same as in the tutorial (2″ in from the right side is the starting point).
Here you can see the cuts. After I made the cuts on the cardfront and the inside of the card, I stamped the dotted heart on the inside of the Melon Mambo card base in Melon Mambo ink, then the little accent hearts. The dotted heart shows on the front of the card when the two sides overlap.
This is the cardfront without the overlap.
And here it is all closed up and decorated. I used the Painted Love paper (coming next week!) and the Heart Happiness stamp set (same). The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage. See the full supply list at the end of the post.
I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!
Some of the things I used in my card can be found in my online Stampin’ Up! store now, and the Occasions catalog items will be available January 3. If you can’t wait until then, click the blue button below to join my team, and you can get the new products in your Starter Kit! If you order from my store, make sure to use the December Host Code (below) if your order is below $150, and I’ll send you extra goodies! If your order is over $150, make sure to claim your Stampin’ Rewards when you check out, and you’ll still get my free gift!
There are only two days left to reserve your Stamparatus! Reserve yours now through December 30! First come, first shipped! If you don’t reserve yours by December 30th, you won’t be able to get it until the new annual catalog in June. There won’t be another reservation window.
I really love Stampin’ Up!’s new Ribbon of Courage stamp set. It was designed by Patty Bennett in honor of her mother.
It has beautiful support ribbon stamps but also has this adorable heart and a couple of other cute little stamps, plus BEAUTIFUL sentiments.
There are also matching framelits, though I didn’t use them on this card. Lookit that tiny support ribbon!
For this clean and simple card, I stamped the heart several times in Archival Basic Black ink and colored each heart differently, though I used the same colors for each heart. I colored the hearts with my Stampin’ Write Makers in Lemon-Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Flirty Flamingo, Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, and Bermuda Bay. I stamped the sentiment in Lemon-Lime Twist and finished off the card with some Glitter Enamel Dots.
Thanks for stopping by today! You can get all of these products in my Stampin’ Up! Online store. I’ve included the links below and also included the links for the framelits and the bundle (for 10% off!).
LAST CALL for my Paper, Ribbon and Embellishments shares! I’m cutting this off on June 30th, so if you want to get in on those, let me know by Friday!
Today’s Facebook Live video features all new products that will be available in just over two weeks in the new Annual Catalog. June 1 you will be able to buy all of these items! Demonstrators can already buy everything you see here *except* the Ribbon of Courage stamp set (I got it for free at our OnStage convention). I also show you all the NEW stuff I got in my preorder, so if you want to see some more stuff I haven’t shown you yet, check it out.
The photo above is truest to the colors of all of these photos. Berry Burst is really a bright fuchsia. This also gives you the best look at that ADORBS Bitty Bow. You MUST own these Bitty Bows (and you can buy them now in your Starter Kit if you sign up as a demonstrator for $99 — no further obligation after you buy your kit, and you get $125 in products that you choose, plus free shipping on your Starter Kit!). These felt bows come in the five In Colors, and you can see them all in the video.
