Heartfelt Trio

Good evening! I hope you’re doing well. I had a weird weekend. I somehow injured my foot in my sleep, as you do. I was seriously hobbled all weekend (it’s better but not completely). Plus I had two sick kids and t-ball practice, and my dog killed a baby bunny in the back yard, so… meh. Weird weekend. I guess you can say I was glad to see Monday. At co-op today I got two new students in my knitting class — an extra kid, plus a mom who wants to learn to knit. We had a lot of fun in class and were shocked when the bell rang to end class. Time flies.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms with washi tape - Sale-A-Bration freebie stamp set with $50 purchase through March 31 - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

For today’s post, I made a trio of cards using the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set, some ribbon, and some washi tape. Heartfelt Blooms is one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets. You can only get these stamps for FREE with a $50 purchase — you can’t buy them. This flower stamp is the first of a new type of stamp patented by Stampin’ Up! The details are amazing.

The main colors I used were Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green (gasp!), and Rich Razzleberry. I used the same layout and design for each card and simply changed up the ribbon and the washi tape.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms - Sale-A-Bration freebie with $50 purchase - Basics Pack 1 washi tape, Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped Ribbon - handmade sympathy get well card - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

For the Flirty Flamingo card, I used the Lemon-Lime Twist 3/8″ Mini Striped Ribbon and Basics Pack 1 washi tape.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms - Sale-A-Bration freebie with $50 purchase - Basics Pack 2 washi tape, Crumb Cake Classic Weave Ribbon - handmade sympathy get well card - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

For the Garden Green card, I used Crumb Cake 3/8″ Classic Weave Ribbon. This ribbon is so lovely and feels so nice.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms - Sale-A-Bration freebie with $50 purchase - Basics Pack 1 washi tape, Shimmer Ribbon Pack - Free Sale-A-Bration item with purchase - handmade sympathy get well card - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

The Rich Razzleberry card is my favorite. I think I have exactly the right amount of ink on my Rich Razzleberry ink pad to make the flowers burst off the card. I used Basics Pack 1 washi tape on this one, plus the FREE Sale-A-Bration Shimmer Ribbon pack (free with $50 purchase). The ribbon comes in three different widths and three different colors – Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, and Bermuda Bay. It’s delicious.

Sustain You

Wow, did this week go fast? It did for me. Yesterday I finally did get my Christmas stuff down. The scourge (updating the budget) is over, so I finally got to move on to the other scourge (cleaning my house). And I’m actually really excited about it and look forward to doing it for like the next six weeks.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms and Hold on to Hope with Touches of Texture - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

Today I’m showing you one of the free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that you can earn with a $50 order. The bouquet on the left of the card is from Heartfelt Blooms. This gorgeous stamp is lovely whether you stamp it tone-on-tone, stamp in a single color, or stamp it in a light color and color it with the Stampin’ Blends, which is what I did. I stamped in Crumb Cake, then colored the flowers with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Pumpkin Pie Blends markers. I colored the leaves with Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. I noticed after I colored the leaves that since Old Olive is so much darker than Crumb Cake, I had covered up all of the intricate leaf details when I colored. So I used my Color Lifter to draw in some veins.

Stampin' Up! Heartfelt Blooms and Hold on to Hope with Touches of Texture - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts

The Bible verse comes from the stamp set Hold On To Hope, which I bought just for this Bible verse. This one stamp is good for sympathy, illness, a really tough challenge someone is going through, or to celebrate coming through that big challenge. I had to have it.

On the Daffodil Delight card base, I stamped in Daffodil Delight with one of the stamps from Touches of Texture.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Heartfelt Blooms — isn’t that a lovely font? Then I stamped the same Touches of Texture stamp from the card front at the bottom edge of the mat.

Sympathy Blooms

Welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! We are a small group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world who love to share our creativity with others. You’re currently visiting Sarah Fleming in the USA.

Stampin' Up! handmade sympathy card with Birthday Blooms, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stampin' Blends, and Merry Little Christmas designer series paper - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts #IIBH

This month our theme for the hop is Sorry/Sympathy/Get Well. I have a hard time making sympathy cards when I need them, so it’s good to keep them on hand. I prefer to make sympathy cards that have at least some bright colors in them, because I want a sympathy card to lift the person’s spirits.

My card base is Old Olive, and on top of that is a Whisper White mat embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder. I added some splatters from Swirly Bird on the mat in Versamark ink, then heat embossed the splatters in gold.

I added the strip of Merry Little Christmas designer series paper — I love how you can use this paper for things other than Christmas projects. Then I added a half inch strip of a Champagne Foil Sheet.

Stampin' Up! handmade sympathy card with Birthday Blooms, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Stampin' Blends, and Merry Little Christmas designer series paper - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts #IIBH

For my focal point, I started by stamping the large flower from Birthday Blooms in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then coloring it in with the Stampin’ Blends. For the flower petals, I used Dark and Light Calypso Coral. For the leaves, I used Dark and Light Old Olive, then added Dark Daffodil Delight to the tips of the leaves. The bits at the center of the flower are colored in with Dark Daffodil Delight. I fussy-cut the flower out. Before I added it to the card, I made some loops with the Pear Pizzazz 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon (delicious) and stuck it to the card with Tear & Tape. Then I added the flower on top of the ribbon with Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched out with the Classic Label punch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Make sure you follow the hop all the way back to me so you can see everyone else’s projects. The designers on this team are so talented — you won’t want to miss any of the blogs!

RAK Blog Hop

Hi! Welcome to the RAK Blog Hop! I am Sarah Fleming, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the USA (in central Texas). This is a blog hop to show the cards that we send and receive as participants in the Random Act of Kindness Card Group. This group is a wonderful, giving group that sends cards to each other using current Stampin’ Up! products. We’re from all over the world, and half the fun is seeing how far each card travels to its destination.

Today I’m sharing the cards I’ve received in late September and October. I am sending out my October RAK cards next week, so I don’t have any of those to show yet. I’m a little behind this month.

Stampin' Up! Random Act of Kindness Card Group

How adorable is this card from Michelle Haney?? She has used the Envelope Punch Board to make the notches around the ears. The Stitched Shapes framelits and Layering Oval framelits make up the chest, eyes, and wings. The wings are debossed with the Petal Burst folder. What a great idea! I don’t have that embossing folder, but I’m starting to reconsider it. The Jack-o-lantern comes from the Pick a Pumpkin bundle. And there’s that classic “happy halloween” stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes (Teeny Tiny Sentiments if you’re overseas). Thank you, Michelle!

Stampin' Up! Random Act of Kindness Card Group

This GORGEOUS sympathy card arrived from the wonderful Angie McKenzie. The Colorful Seasons stamp set is so versatile and can be used for almost any purpose. Even sympathy. And that Jute Twine is just perfect. What a beautiful card. Thank you, Angie.

I hope these cards have inspired you in some way. We’d love for you to join the Random Act of Kindness Card Group! It’s such a fun group! Make sure to go through the whole blog hop and be inspired by the other cards being sent and received this month. Just start at Jessie and go to the end.
