This was the first card I made when I got my first shipment of new goodies from the Spring Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure. This card is way out of my comfort zone, because I forced myself to use the two 2012-2014 In-Colors that I don’t like — Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals. I think the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale-A-Bration (free with a $50 purchase!) has changed my tune on Summer Starfruit, and I like it more every time I use it. But I think Primrose Petals and I just may not ever be friends. That’s okay, I have plenty of other colors to choose from.
My favorite part of the card, Primrose Petals not withstanding, is the embossed PP Core’dinations paper. I embossed it using the new Honeycomb folder from the Spring Catty, then sanded it to reveal the lighter shade on the inside. This is my favorite of all the embossing folders! It works for so many different cards and scrapbook pages.
I made the 2 colorful banners with the Print Poetry DSP stack. I LOVE this stack — Stampin’ Up! does a great job coming up with these paper stacks. So much to choose from for not much money. I ran the paper through the Big Shot with one of the banner dies from the Hearts a Flutter framelits set, then trimmed both sides of each banner to make them the size I wanted.
The sentiment is from Lovely Little Labels, which is a perfect set for baby books and cards and has a coordinating punch pack.
