Stamp, Ink, Paper: Birthday Details

Good morning! I hope you’re having a great week! I have some fun news… I’ve been asked to join the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge design team for good! I’m thrilled to have been asked, and of course I said yes. This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge. I love this super-versatile sketch by the wonderful Andrea Tracy-Tucker. Here’s my take on it:

Stampin' Up! Birthday Wishes for You, Delightfully Detailed paper, Lovely Floral dynamic embossing folder, Nature's Roots framelits - Sarah Fleming - Prepare to Dye Papercrafts - Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge

I went briiiiiiiiiight with my card. I guess that was my mood and my absolute giddiness over all the new bright colors we get to play with. I first embossed the Pineapple Punch card base with the Lovely Floral dynamic embossing folder, then layered a bunch of stuff on top of that.

My sentiment panel goes like this: The bottom pink layer is Flirty Flamingo, cut with a die from the Stitched Labels framelits (twice, once on top and once on bottom). The top pink layer is Petal Pink, which is an interesting color. For some reason, on its own, Petal Pink is a very pale peachy color (I store it with my other orange colors). But paired with Flirty Flamingo, it actually looks pink. *shrug* On the Petal Pink layer I stamped a small flower from the Cake Soiree stamp set in the same color. I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick on Pineapple Punch designer series paper, then fussy-cut it and colored in the holes with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Write Marker. The big intricate flower is cut from the Delightfully Detailed laser-cut paper, sponged with Lovely Lipstick ink.

To finish off the card, I added leaves in Granny Apple Green and Silver Foil, which I cut with the Nature’s Roots framelits and Bouquet Bunch framelits, and some rhinestones.
