Hello! Welcome to Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop! We’re a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators around the world sharing what we love with you. We are all in Kylie Bertucci’s training group and having a wonderful time growing our Stampin’ Up! businesses. I’m Sarah Fleming from the United States.
Today I’m showing you a card that uses the Festive Farmhouse suite of products from the Holiday Catalog. Have you noticed that red trucks hauling Christmas trees are everywhere this year? Me too. I started with a Mossy Meadow card base and added a piece of Festive Farmhouse paper for a background. Next I made my winter scene on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
I stamped the house with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then masked it off with a sticky note. Then I stamped the tree behind the house in Soft Suede ink. The tree looks like it’s behind the house because I masked the house off first. I removed the mask, then stamped the tree in front of the house. I colored the house using Smoky Slate and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends. I used the Color Lifter to create shading and fix mistakes. Then I colored the slab under the porch with a Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. I colored the trees with Soft Suede Blends. I added Shimmery White embossing paste with a Palette Knife (I went a little overboard with the embossing paste). Then I added Dazzling Diamonds to the trees using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
I stamped the truck on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock. I colored it using Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, then colored the tires using Light Basic Black Blends. I popped the truck up on Dimensionals in front of the house. I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler, then cut it out using the Farmhouse framelits dies. I added that with Dimensionals, then added a bow to the card, made from the Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine.
